This site is a tribute to Janet, loving and much-loved wife, mother, nana and friend.  

We are devastated to have lost her with so much left to do and see but she takes our love with her and leaves so much behind for us to remember her by. If you knew Janet, you'd know that she wasn't really one for a fuss!  She would be urging us now to "just get on with it" in her own inimitable style!  It is a comfort to hear that in our heads whilst we navigate these raw and painful, early days of loss.

Janet was many things to many people and though we of course have so many memories and experiences to draw on, we would love to hear your own memories of Janet too. It's a precious thing to be able to hear new things, new anecdotes and fun things we didn't know.  All of these newly discovered moments are treasures to us.  

Janet was very specific about not wanting flowers sent so if you feel you want to do something, we would be delighted if you'd support her wishes and donate to The Christie in her memory.  She held them in such high regard and as her family, we could never praise them highly enough as they saved her life 25 years ago.  

It is not just difficult, it is impossible to condense a lifetime of experiences, loves, losses, small victories and big events into a paragraph or two about Janet.  It can't be done.  We see her legacy in her children, Steven and Joanne, and her grandchildren, Alex, Holly & Charlie.  We see it in the unwavering love and devotion of her darling husband Jack.  We know that grief is the price we must pay for love and we pay it gladly now, knowing that as it wanes, the love will continue, strong as ever.
